Question: What are the ways I can communicate with other users?

Answer: There are several ways which you can communicate with other people. You can send private messages or post publicly on their wall. On the bottom right hand corner of your screen, there is also a chat function where you can chat with your contacts who are online. We also have an ice breaker tool you can setup in the Profile / Interests area of your account. Ice breakers are posted on your profile. Asking a creative or clever question might spark some good conversation :-)

Question: How do I control who can post to my wall?

Answer: Go to Settings, click on Privacy, in the second option, you can specify who can post to your wall. Remember to click Save Changes so that your chosen settings can take immediate effect.

Question: How do I get the best quality connections?

Answer: The deeper you map your interests, the better the quality of your connections will be. This is partly due to the fact that many people share high level interests, but it becomes more rare to find people who share multiple specific interests. Given that our connections system is based on a heirarchal structure, the further you define your interests, the better the quality of results we are able to produce for you.

For example, if you like playing sports, you should further map what kind of sports you really enjoy. Or if you like dining, specifying the exact types of cuisines, and even your favorite foods. The same would go for music. Or something like history – if your a Civil War buff, you should specify this.

Defining your interests with a high level of depth, and rating each interest, will get you the best quality connections.

Question: How does rating my interests help to get the best quality connections?

Answer: By rating your interests, you help to define how important an interest is to you. This helps us in creating the best possible quality of connections for you.

Question: How often do I get connections?

Answer: Connections are updated once a day. You will receive an email when there are new connections. It is not guaranteed that there will be new connections for you every day. This depends on a number of factors. But generally speaking, if you define your interests deeply, you should be getting new connections regularly.

Question: How can I control the age, gender and location preference of the connections I’m getting?

Answer: Go to Settings, click on Filters, this is where you can change the settings for Gender, Age and Location Preference.

Question: I have some interests that I can’t find those in the interest hierarchy system.

Answer: If you are unable to find some of your interest in our interest hierarchy system, we welcome you to suggest it to us. In Edit My Interests, use the green highlighted box Suggest an Interest to submit your suggestion to us. All we ask is that the suggested interest is in the appropriate sub categoy. All suggestions are reviewed and processed regularly. We reserve the right to reject any inappropriate suggestions.

Question: If I delete someone from my connections and/or friends list, will they know?

Answer: No, the person will not be notified of the action. You will simply disappear from his/her connections and/or friends list. This will end communication and contact with this person.
